Kneaded Eraser

Kneaded Eraser

This is my eraser of choice. It removes graphite and does not leave any residue behind to repel paint. This is especially important in my Shaded Wash Technique as any residue left from erasing will repel the initial linework.

To clean it you just keep pulling on it like taffy! I have no idea where the dirt goes but it does go, leaving you a nice clean eraser! I store mine in a small plastic bag so it doesn't dry out and have had the same erasers for years.
